Dutch Patent Translation
In order to validate a European Patent in the Netherlands,
a translation into Dutch must be furnished to the Netherlands Industrial
Property Office (NIPO) within 3 months of the date the patent was
granted. AbroadLink provides Dutch patent translations with accuracy,
speed and confidentiality.
As a result of specialising in patent translations
of the highest quality for clients in the Netherlands, the rest
of Europe and the U.S. (patent attorneys, corporate patent departments,
Research & Development scientists, inventors...) we have become
fluent in patent-specific technical language. We have come to know
in detail how the formatting and content of a patent should appear.

Our policies on cost and quality control are a testament
to our commitment to our clients. Clients receive a detailed quotation
for our patent translation services with no strings attached. We
stand by the bottom line of our quotations. There are no unexpected
extra charges for typing, layout, graphics, certification, extra
copies, forwarding official printed patents, or delivering to your
representatives etc.
On receipt of your documentation, we perform an analysis to establish that only the documents required by the patent office are translated minimising unnecessary costs. We offer a range of service packages to adapt to your project needs. As a result you will pay less for any parts of the project you would like translated for purposes other than filing.
Once the Dutch translation has been submitted and
validated the patent is no different from a fully examined NL patent.
In March 2005 the NIPO changed its name in Dutch to Octrooicentrum
Nederland. Approximately 2,500 patent applications are filed in
the Netherlands annually. Under Dutch Patent law (ROW 1995), unlike
many other EU countries it is possible to obtain a patent right
for a short term (6 years) by not requesting a novelty search. Such
patents are granted in a matter of months but the applicant can
not start an infringement case before the court.
Whatever the purpose of your
patent translation, AbroadLink can meet your requirements and deadline.
